Independent and Credible News

6 Media Giants

According to Soapboxie 90% of all our news today is owned by six media giants:

  • Comcast
  • News Corporation
  • The Walt Disney Company
  • Viacom
  • Time Warner
  • CBS Corporation

This gives an enormous amount of control over our news to a few companies that are more concern with profits, entertainment and ratings than fair and accurate news. Check out this great example of controlled and packaged news stations.

Sinclair Broadcast Group

Sinclair Broadcast Group is the nation’s largest owner of local television stations, and requires its affiliates to insert conservative commentary in local newscasts.

Independent News

The following independent news sources are alternatives to the 6 media giants and do not accept government, political or corporate funding.

*This doesn’t guarantee a removal of biases and all articles anywhere should always be critically viewed and when in doubt fact checked
